Wrong golf bag delivered -- twice !!

I ordered a cart golf bag as a birthday gift. When I saw nothing arrive within the next 10 days, even though the bag was theoretically in stock, I called and was told they were moving their warehouse, so they had some delays... I waited patiently an extra 10 days, so missing the birthday date, and finally got .... a carry bag of the same brand -- so not the one I ordered. I called, got return instructions which I followed to the letter, including paying upfront for the return shipping, then was delivered exactly the same bag in return 2 weeks later!! No call, no explanation, no email, nothing.... just a note inside the package saying "please resend". Never again with Direct Golf UK -- this is the worst e-commerce experience so far.

Supplied Ultracaddy Trolley that has never worked properly.

My wife bought me an Ultracaddy Trolley which has never made a complete round of golf. the battery either was not retaining charge or the charger was not working. Eventually a replacement charger was sent but still no improvement. The drive controller on the handle would then not turn fully off and now will not turn on at all. Repeated complaints for action have been ignored other than requests to return it to them in original packaging and I'm sure nothing would then happen either. My order number is 200712****1118. Any advice on how to proceed would be welcome.

Ultracaddy gone wrong

I agree with all the comments made about this company I have been trying to obtain parts for my Ultracaddy without success. Good news! I have discovered a company called UK Sports - email address uksportsimports.com - Tel: 01384 48****. They sell a trolley they call Hillman Ultralite which is an exact equivalent of the above Ultracaddy. They stock parts which are available for purchase and they despatch said parts the same day. Staff, are very friendly and believe it or not - they return phone calls. Duncan, is their technical guy, who also returns calls. Recommended by a very satisfied customer. I do think they are well worth a try if you are experiencing trolley problems. I will certainly use them again. Graham - Lossiemouth

Many problems - No service

I bought my Ultracaddy in February and it arrived with the plastic cover for the battery and electronics smashed in transit and a split pin for one of the wheels broken. I tried contacting but gave up when I found the voice mailbox full. Since then I have had to repair the trolley several times and currently it is completely US due to a blowing fuse on the battery connection. When it was working it still was not very good as I could only take it where there was grass and in my travails off fairway, I am often separated from my clubs. Avoid this product.

Golfstoredirect. Unable to get Ultracaddy repaired

Having gone to the premises of Golfstoredirect.com I got my remote control ultracaddy trolley replaced. It has now gone wrong again so unable to contact them like before I visited their site again but they have now gone and I am unable to trace them. Anyone know where I can get the trolley fixed? I thought I had crcked it first time by obtaining their telephone number, not the 0870 number advertised, but it is to no avail. With the web site now not responding and the premises vacated (although their computer terminal is still there) my only hope is to find someone who repairs these trolleys. It seems to be a genuine make so I would hope that there is somewhere available for repair, although as the company has disappeared, maybe gone bust as I don't think it could have been a *** as the equipment was delivered and replaced the first time.

sorry to hear of your trouble you are correct they have gone bust and I too have had problems with my trolley and the charger. If you find somewhere to repair I would be interested if not , I may consider buying for spares for mine.

Golf store direct

My husband received his Ultra caddy full Monty last december from Golf Store Direct. Due to a long illness he has only used it a dozen times since then. It has now packed up. Shame, as he was so pleased that his energy is returning and he can play again. He hasn't the strength, though, to play without it. After reading your report he has decided not to bother to return it. There is someone at his golf club who comes once a week to repair trolleys. It will cost us, which is wrong. At least your comments saved us bother.

I am in the same boat regarding the electric trolley. I had an electrician look at it but he could not fix it. If you get your trolley fixed could you let me know.

Dreadful products and customer service

I bought a trolley at Xmas with a 36 hole battery. The battery ran out after just 17 holes. After they refused to reply to my emails or phone calls I went to the place in the Midlands where they assembled the trolleys and they gave me another battery which has been fine. The only problem now is that the trolley is falling apart as it is just not up to the job as it cannot take the weight of a proper trolley bag and the motor is malfunctioning. Under no circumstances should you buy from this company as you will not get what you pay for!

Took Money but no serviceable goods arrived

I posted a complaint re golfstoredirect. They are part of the company GD Trading Ltd. I purchased a Golf Trolley (Electric) for the sum of £159.99. It was badly damaged on delivery and I returned it asking for my money to be returned. The did not happen. Following investigation I am now informed GD Trading Limited IS IN LIQUIDATION. Creditors Meeting held 21st May 2008. A compliance order was issued in April stating that the Company could no longer sell the non compliant goods. ie Electric Golf Trolleys. On the 7th May 2008 the Director concluded there was no alternative but to place the Company in liquidation. The Liquidators are Messrs Poppleton and Appleby of 35 Ludgate Hill Birmingham B3 1EH. It looks as if no monies will be forthcoming.

Unable to contact

Really poor service. My Ultra caddy was less than two months old when the battery charger failed and I can't contact them to get a replacement. There is also an intermittent problem with it starting up. Probably a loose wire somewhere, but of course, no details on how to fix. The so called manual has limited information, certainly not enough for me to be able to take the thing apart accurately. This product was bought for me as a present from my daughter. What a shame that I have to tell her she has been ripped off Don't bother with this company. They are rubbish!

Golfstoredirect.uk - promised refund for received damaged goods

Ordered Golf Trolley early April, arrived damaged. Emailed photographs and reported. They arranged collection on the 24th April, since then nothing. I was informed by email one goods back with them they would refund monies into my bank within fourteen days. No such thing. Still waiting! My emails, telephone calls are not answered. Maybe Dave Cattell who put his name to one email I received would like to refund my monies directly from his pocket as he promised his company would do this. Do not buy anything from GD Trading Ltd. Company Number 520**** based in Warwickshire. They are definitely Con Merchants.

My electric trolley has broken and not been collected

I bought an electric golf trolley fromgolfstoresdirect in March 2008. Ordeer no. 200803****1504 It only worked intermittently and has now stop working altogether. I have the guarantee for twelve months but cannot contact the company. I have e-mailed Golf Direct many times and got no reply. My electric trolley also broke down on the golf course. It is all boxed up and ready for collection but the company is not replying to my e-mails and I have not phone number for the company. I am not satidfied with the product and want my money back. I bought a broken trolley from golfstore direct and cannot contact them

They collected my trolley 3 weeks ago and said they would return my money, now I cannot get in touch with them - an absolute disgrace. I already sent one back as it was faulty, they sent another which arrived broken, they sent the spasre part. The trolley then broke down on the golf course. I have now called them every day at least twice for the last 3 weeks and received no reply. I have emailed them on numerous occasions and again have received no reply - Is there anyone out there who can help. I am at a complete loss.

No after sales service

I purchased an Utracaddy electric golf trolley from Golfstoredirect under 2 years ago. It broke once and I was able to take the motor apart and fix it. Now it is dead (battery is fine) but I need parts for my Ultracaddy golf trolley from Golfstoredirect to fix it now.. There is nobody else that supplies parts. Everything is out of stock. No answer to emails or phones. They will process your order for a new product but if it goes wrong, you cannot get it fixed. £149 for less than 2 years is not good. I suggest you look elsewhere an check that you really CAN get spares. Not recommended at all.

I have an ultracaddy for £199 that stopped working within 12 months, unable to contact golfstoredirect or get the trolly fixed.

I purchased a motorcaddy locally knowing that after sales service was available.

I still have the ultracaddy that might be useful for spares.

I too have an Ultracaddy. So far I have made two lower leg sections and changed all the electrics.

I am now defeated because part of the handle joint has sheared. I cannot find one and it is impossible to make.

My Daughters purchased a Ultra electric golf trolley for Xmas THREE trolleys later the latest has now broken. I have been unable to contact the company, the do not reply to E Mails or answer the phone. I will now have to take this matter up with my credit card company.

My advice is not to purchase anything from this company.

I purchased an Ultra Caddy Electric Golf Trolley from GolfStoreDirect in February and I have had numerous problems. The trolley pulls to the right, the battery charger caught on fire and the on/off switch came off in my hand.

I have sought advice from the Office of Fair Trading and have written to the Company demanding a reply by 19th May. If I do not receive a reply I will seek reimbursement from my Credit Card Company.

Complaint have not received goods

Golf store direct were quick enough to debit my credit card for payment for my golf trolley. despite repeated phone calls and e mail still no sign of trolleyt Have been in contact with credit card company and they are to try and recover payment from golf store bank. I intend to contact Consumer Protection in Stratford on Avon to see if they can shed some light on the company. also contact some of the Sunday Newspapers I would not recommend this company to any person and will buy another electric golf trolley from another company, probably local to my home in Dundee
